Collection: XLARGE
XLARGE—a pioneer of Los Angeles streetwear culture. The brand was founded in 1991 by two architect friends, Adam Silverman and Eli Bonertz. The investor was renowned musician Mike D of the Beastie Boys.
The first XLARGE store opened on Vermont Avenue in East Hollywood and became an iconic venue in American street culture. It distinguished itself by fusing elements of workwear, old-school design, skateboarding, hip-hop, and club aesthetics.
The brand's iconic gorilla logo, based on a painting by Stephen Janacos, has become a globally recognized trademark. Collaborations with artists and endorsements from stars like Spike Jonze, Kim Gordon, Chloë Sevigny, and Sofia Coppola have cemented XLARGE's position as one of the brands that has shaped streetwear culture.
