In 2015, three friends in Paris decided to make a joke. They talked about creating clothes with erotic embroidery — just to see what would happen. None of them had any background in fashion. But the idea turned out to be too accurate to remain a joke.
Hijiri Endo from Japan, Théodore Famery from France and Agoston Palinko from Hungary — three people brought together by the artistic community of Paris. That's how Carne Bollente was born. Over ten years the brand grew from a local Parisian joke into a label sold at Dover Street Market, SSENSE, HBX and Wood Wood — the most selective multibrand platforms in the world.
A NAME THAT EXPLAINS EVERYTHING
Carne Bollente is Italian for «boiled meat». The name comes from an erotic film from the 1980s starring Cicciolina — a legendary porn star who later became a member of the Italian parliament. For the founders, Cicciolina embodies an uninhibited, open and joyful approach to sexuality. No shame. No justification. No apology. That became the DNA of the brand.

WHAT THEY DO AND HOW
The embroideries and prints of Carne Bollente depict erotic scenes — hetero, queer, trans and surrealist. But they never shock for the sake of shock. The style is inspired by the golden era of the sexual revolution of the 1960s and 70s: colourful, playful, with humour and warmth. It's art that invites conversation — rather than closing doors.
Each collection is built around a specific theme and an artistic collaborator. The brand consciously seeks artists whose work resonates with its values and transfers it to clothing with respect for the original. Among the collaborations — works by Japanese artist Sadao Hasegawa, a cult creator of homoerotic art sometimes called «the Japanese Tom of Finland». His work combines spirituality, psychedelia and eroticism and remains iconic in queer communities worldwide.
Other partners include UNDERCOVER, the cult Japanese streetwear brand of Jun Takahashi, and the Tom of Finland Foundation, the organisation preserving the homoerotic art of artist Touko Laaksonen.
The silhouettes are classic streetwear: t-shirts, longsleeves, hoodies, sweaters, trousers, accessories and even homeware. Production in Portugal from 100% organic cotton and recycled nylon. Quality that matches the brand's position.

FROM RAVES TO STREETS
Carne Bollente existed from the very beginning at the intersection of several cultures. The Parisian nightlife scene, queer spaces, rave culture, artistic circles — these aren't just the context of the brand, they're its audience. People who wear Carne Bollente don't explain their choice. They simply know why they want the piece.
The brand's silhouettes work equally well during the day in the city and at night at a party. That's exactly why the brand has settled so naturally into the wardrobes of people who live exactly that kind of life.

WHERE ELSE IT'S SOLD
Carne Bollente is sold in the most selective multibrand stores in the world: Dover Street Market in London, New York and Tokyo, SSENSE, HBX, Wood Wood, LN-CC and Voo Berlin. Making it onto those shelves is its own level of recognition in the industry.
In Poland the brand is available at NEWBORN K.
